No Excuses..you can find time to exercise

Sometimes we use the excuse of “I’m too tired or I’m so busy, I have no time to workout” in response to not exercising. And you know what you’re right, we are all very busy, we are tired and we have so many things on our plate.

However we all have 24 hours in our day and we can fit in some type of physical activity in our day.

You don’t need to be in the gym for hours to reap the benefits of exercise. Yes it’s best that you get a full body workout that targets everything, like cardio, strength training, and stretching.

However if you’re finding that it’s hard to get everything in, then start with the basics.

Here are simple things that you can do with your cute little puppy, co-workers, your baby,  or by yourself.

  • Go for a walk, or a light jog in the morning, and I say the morning because it’s always best to get it out the way.
  • If you’re not a morning person then do it at lunch or the evening.
  • Climb the stairs on your lunch break.
  • Take 15 to 20minutes to stretch and or do basic yoga poses.

The point is, you can allow yourself to get away with excuses after excuses, which makes us feel good, because at least we have the word busy beside the excuse and busy usually “comes across” as we are being productive. But when you think about it, we can usually find 20-30 min in our day that is being wasted, when you find that 20-30min think of ways that you can turn those minutes into productive ones.

So to sum things up, find the time to incorporate some type of physical activity in your daily life, start off simple then work your way up. You will love it. And if you don’t tell me why..

If you already do basic exercises, share them with me, tweet me or facebook me, or leave a comment here..let me know what your doing every day to get your daily dose of feeling good.

  1. I always tell people to find something fun to do. I really got into aerial last year because it’s something I enjoy.
And I agree that you don’t have to invest a whole lot of time. A friend of mine has been doing 30 push ups every morning and every night and he says he’s noticed a difference in how he looks and feels.

  2. Hi Nina:

Thanks for leaving a comment..your right, something simple as pushups everyday gets the job done.

Funny, I thought about taking aerial classes. Where do you take yours?
